POSITION SUMMARYThe Strategic Planning Business Analyst provides day-to-day business analytics, insights, and recommendations to support management decision-making. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to support short-term and long-term planning, the annual operating plan and budgeting process, and key strategic initiatives.The role is focused on decision support, specifically, delivering clear analysis, thoughtful recommendations, and well-structured insights. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work tactfully and effectively with stakeholders who may have strong or differing viewpoints.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Provide ongoing business analysis, insights, and recommendations to support leadership in planning, budgeting, and strategic execution.Analyze sales, marketing, and market research data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and translate findings into clear, actionable insights.Develop and maintain recurring reports and dashboards to track sales performance, category performance, and key business metrics.Consolidate and manage data from internal systems and external sources (e.g., syndicated or market research data) to support performance monitoring and planning.Prepare concise, well-structured presentations for management review and decision support.Support the annual operating plan and budgeting process by collaborating with stakeholders, monitoring performance versus budget, and highlighting variances and implications.Manage and support CRM system reporting (SAP HANA C4C), including report generation, basic system support, and user guidance to improve data usability.Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure analysis and reporting align with business priorities.Demonstrate professionalism and tact when engaging with senior stakeholders, including those with strong personalities or differing perspectives.Provide recommendations confidently while respecting leadership decision-making authority and remaining supportive when decisions differ from analysis provided.Participate in strategic initiatives and special projects, supporting analysis, execution tracking, and outcome measurement.Perform ad hoc analysis and other duties as assigned to support overall business needs.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each major responsibility satisfactorily.
