Brooksource is supporting our client, a leading construction company, in a large-scale data center build-out project. We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Oversight Manager to support and monitor all commissioning activities across complex, mission-critical environments.This role serves as the primary point of contact for commissioning oversight, ensuring alignment between construction, commissioning agents, and project leadership from system start-up through final turnover.What You'll Be DoingOversee all commissioning activities led by the client's Commissioning Agent (CxA)Ensure commissioning aligns with overall construction schedules, milestones, and turnover timelinesCoordinate across MEP trades, vendors, subcontractors, and commissioning teams to support seamless project executionReview and validate commissioning scripts, schedules, and reports to ensure accuracy and alignment with design intentTrack commissioning progress and proactively identify risks, delays, or gapsAttend commissioning meetings, represent the project team, and witness key system testsSupport system start-up readiness, pre-functional testing, and integrated systems testing (IST)Maintain logs for commissioning issues, punch lists, and closeout documentationPartner with QA/QC teams to ensure all turnover packages meet commissioning requirementsPromote and uphold strong safety practices throughout all commissioning phasesWhat We're Looking For7+ years of experience in commissioning, MEP construction, or critical systems environmentsExperience supporting data center or mission-critical projects strongly preferredStrong understanding of commissioning levels (L1–L5) and integrated systems testingHands-on knowledge of construction workflows, system start-up, and project schedulingAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, control sequences, commissioning scripts, and reportsExperience coordinating across multiple stakeholders including owners, subcontractors, engineers, and Cx agentsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field (or equivalent experience)Commissioning certifications (CxA, LEED, etc.) are a plusWhy This RoleOpportunity to work on large-scale, high-impact data center projectsHigh-visibility role with direct influence on project delivery and system performanceCollaborative, fast-paced environment with strong growth potentialPer diem offered for candidates traveling longer distancesWork EnvironmentThis role will include a mix of job site presence and coordination activities, requiring collaboration with on-site teams and project stakeholders.
