Locksmith Apprentice / Trainee (Full-Time)

We are a premier, established locksmith company looking to invest in a Locksmith Apprentice. We don’t expect you to have prior locksmith experience—we will fully train the right person. What we do require is absolute reliability, intense ambition, and a strong work ethic. You will work alongside experienced professionals in our shop, learning everything from key duplication and high-security lock assemblies to electronic access control systems and advanced automotive key programming. This is not just a job; it’s a career path. What You'll Be Doing: Assisting senior technicians in the shop with daily lock assemblies, re-keying, and repairs. Learning to cut and program various types of keys (residential, commercial, and high-security automotive). Greeting walk-in customers, evaluating their needs, and providing excellent service. Maintaining shop organization, inventory tracking, and equipment maintenance. Studying trade concepts and technical manuals to quickly advance your skillset. Shift & Schedule: Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Must be consistently punctual and ready to work at start times. What We Are Looking For (Requirements): Drive & Ambition: A genuine desire to learn a technical trade and build a long-term career. Mechanical Aptitude: Strong hand-eye coordination and comfort working with small components and hand tools. Professional Image: Clean, professional presentation and excellent communication skills for customer interaction. Reliability: Trustworthy, punctual, and highly dependable. Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening (required for security industry licensing). A valid driver’s license is preferred. Compensation & Benefits: Pay: Competitive hourly rate, to be discussed during the interview based on your current background and mechanical aptitude. Comprehensive, paid on-the-job training.
