*Job Description:* We are actively seeking a skilled *Office Engineer* to support the team. The Office Engineer will be responsible for managing project documentation, contract administration, and ensuring smooth communication and workflow between project stakeholders.
*Responsibilities:*
* Maintain and manage all project-related documentation, including submittals, RFIs, daily reports, and payment requests.
* Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all project records following NYSDOT’s *Manual of Uniform Record Keeping (MURK)* guidelines.
* Track and process contractor change orders, time and material (T&M) records, and monthly estimates.
* Prepare and distribute detailed progress reports, including updates on contractor staffing, materials, and construction activities.
* Support the Resident Engineer and inspection team in coordinating and managing fieldwork activities.
* Facilitate communication between contractors, engineers, and NYSDOT representatives to ensure timely resolution of any issues.
* Utilize software platforms such as *SiteManager* and *EBO* to manage and document project-related information.
* Monitor the project’s compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* *NICET III* certification or equivalent qualifications recognized by NYSDOT.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project documentation and contract management.
* Proficiency in NYSDOT *MURK* procedures and the use of relevant software systems like *SiteManager* and *EBO*.
* Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills to coordinate between various stakeholders and team members.
* Familiarity with construction processes related to culverts, drainage, and highway work is a plus.
* OSHA 10-Hour Safety Training Certification is preferred.
