CDL A/B Driver (FEL Driver)The CDL A/B Driver (FEL Driver) operates a truck that collects and transports recyclable materials to and from specified destinations.Shift: 1st (Job Type: Full-time) | Location: Frisco, TXBenefits:Health, Dental, Vision insuranceFSAVacation Time401k matchingEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Parental LeaveTuition ReimbursementResponsibilities:Operates a Front-End Load (FEL) commercial recycling collection truck and ancillary equipment on assigned route/s to commercial container customers, while providing excellent customer serviceDeliver recyclables to designated recycling/drop-off facilityLoad recyclables using automated FEL to service 2 yard to 8-yard commercial containersProperly operates joystick to control front loading arms and forks to connect to container, watching for unintended contact with obstructions around the FEL containerSafely raise the container to unload into the truck hopper, makes sure adequate overhead clearance ensures no contact with structures, power lines, date lines or trees that may cause damage or injuryPractice proper backing procedures after servicing the container using cameras making sure back up alarms are working properlyPrepares, receives, and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery and pickup of containers to ensure timely serviceLoads, secures, and unloads truck and follows all safety procedures at recycling facilityMaintains radio or telephone communications with dispatcher and supervisor to receive instructions or notice of changes concerning deliveries or pickupsComplies with all mandatory safety meetings & briefings, operational standards & policies, and maintains a valid Texas CDL and DOT medical cardMaintains route sheets, completes pre-trip/post trip inspections and reports vehicle inspection records, and follows all federal and state DOT regulations dailyMaintains route quality safety and service standardsMaintains clean vehicle interior and exteriorCommunicates vehicle mechanical problems immediatelyOperates truck and equipment using prescribed techniques to eliminate Driver induced mechanical failuresResponsible for completing daily pre & post trip inspectionsReports all safety and service incidents to the Supervisor immediatelyMinimum Job Qualifications:At least 3 years of satisfactory driving experience of Class A or B vehicles preferredExcellent communication skills and ability to deal professionally with customers, dispatchers, mechanics, and other driversAbility to perform simple mathematical calculationsExcellent driving skillsComputer Skills: Basic use of Tablets and ApplicationsPass drug screen and criminal background checkSuccessfully complete and pass a written and road testMeet all Federal & State DOT requirementsPreferred Job Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years of ageLegally eligible to work in the United States.Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodationHigh school Diploma or GED EquivalentWorking Conditions and Physical Requirements:Normal work environment is outdoors, with exposure to all weather conditions, dirt, high levels of noise, smells/odors and at times exposure to dangerous and/or toxic substances requiring necessary precautions, including PPE.The physical demands described here are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.Must be able to climb into and out of truck several times per day using three points of contactMust be able to sit for extended periods as well as walk for short periodsMust be able to bend, stoop, crawl, and squat to perform a full inspection of the underside of the truck and inspect tires for adequate inflation and potential damageMust be able to work outside for short periods of time in all types of weatherMust be able to see and hear proficiently to operate a commercial motor vehicle in a safe mannerMust be able to work in a moderately noisy environmentEEOC: Circular Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination and Harassment of Any Kind: Circular Services is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
