Located at our Byron Center, MI location, the person in this position would assist with inventory tracking and maintenance in the warehouse, assist with cabinet deliveries as needed, and assist with receipt, transfer, and storage of incoming freight, as well as picking and preparing orders for shipments. The person in this role will additional travel to our 76th Street and Holland Locations. Specifically, the responsibilities for this position include:
Unloading incoming freight, verifying product against enclosed packing lists, sorting material by end destination and putting away excess stock
Using fork trucks and order picking equipment
Ensuring proper quality, accuracy and timeliness of picking and delivery of customer orders
Effectively managing inventory from receiving stage to shipping stage
Maintaining the organization, cleanliness, and maintenance of the warehouse as requested by Warehouse Manager
Managing inventory using Lumbermen's procedures and programs
Accurately representing Lumbermen's by delivering exceptional quality and service to our customers when delivering products

This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE.
Required education/experience:
High school diploma
Prior warehouse experience is preferred
Valid drivers license
Required skills:
Strong communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Safe working practices
Accuracy and detail-orientation
Inclination to do things right the first time
Ability to accurately pull orders and load/unload trucks
Ability to properly identify colors for the purpose of pulling orders
Physical requirements:
Ability to operate a forklift
Ability to do physical labor including lifting of up to 75lbs
Ability to bend, twist, and stoop
Ability to work on feet for 8-10 hours per day
