Our client, a leading commercial finance company located in Itasca, IL is seeking a talented Litigation Counsel with 5+ years of experience to join their in-house legal team. Join a dynamic legal team supporting litigation, creditor rights, bankruptcy, compliance, and risk management matters across U.S. and Canadian operations. ResponsibilitiesManage commercial litigation and pre-litigation disputes, including investigations, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and resolution strategiesSupport distressed assets, workouts, restructurings, collections, restructurings, enforcement actions, forbearance agreements, bankruptcy proceedings, creditor rights, and recovery effortsAssist with regulatory responses, compliance initiatives, supplier disputes, and contract enforcement mattersDevelop litigation protocols, reporting processes, escalation procedures, outside counsel guidelines, and matter-closing workflowsOversee legal holds, information governance, records preservation, document collection, and e-discovery processesDraft and maintain settlement agreements, mutual releases, demand letters, preservation letters, legal hold notices, reservation of rights letters, separation agreements, workout agreements, investigation forms, subpoena response templates, dispute intake questionnaires, and business-facing legal request forms.Support legal technology, AI tools, matter management systems, budget reporting, and continuous improvement initiativesIdentify and mitigate legal and business risks Compensation & BenefitsBase salary: $150,000 - $185,000+Bonus: discretionary annual bonus - 20%Comprehensive benefits packageFlexible Hybrid WFH scheduleFor consideration, email your resume to justin.rambert@roberthalf.com**Robert Half recruiters utilize our proprietary AI to match jobs & candidates faster**
