Parlance is seeking a full-time Marketing Specialist with experience coordinating events. To be chosen for this role, you must have a bachelor's degree in marketing and/or at least three years of experience in a marketing role. Effective business writing and unfailing attention to detail are important keys to success in this role. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable learning new skills and taking initiative to solve problems autonomously. You will work closely with the Marketing Director to manage event planning and logistics, improve digital marketing operations, and ensure the on-time completion of various administrative and creative responsibilities. Expectations for this role involve up to 15% travel.
Overall ResponsibilitiesTake charge of booth sponsorships at industry events, as well as track expenses, order and ship collateral and signage, and manage digital portal deliverables
Work closely with marketing, sales, and other company employees to create written content
Assist in the creation of brand-supportive graphics and PowerPoint documents
Increase brand awareness online
Drive traffic to website and digital properties
Ghostwrite employee blogs / help the team share content on LinkedIn
Share in the administrative responsibilities of the marketing department
Manage the technical integration, field mapping, and data synchronization between HubSpot and Salesforce.
Event ManagementThe Marketing Specialist must have experience managing events and conferences, handling the operational logistics, planning, and execution to ensure a smooth on-site experience for the team, with proven ability to balance meticulous, behind-the-scenes administrative work.
Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Planning & Booth Sponsorship Logistics:Securing booth space, electricity, AV, ordering and configuring lead capture setup including team training, furniture rental, Wi-Fi, booking hotels, travel/airfare reminders for sales team, facilitation of graphic design for booth.
Budget Management:Tracking / documenting expenses, including shipping, booth rentals, and promotional items, hosted buyer meetings, etc.
Asset Management:Ordering and shipping printed collateral, ensuring new design of branded backdrops / signage, swag, and booth display materials, ensuring they arrive on time.
Parlance SME:Acting as the main point of contact for sales team, marketing director, external vendors, and stakeholders.
Event Portal Management:Filling out sponsorship deliverables in the event portal, such as logo submission, company description, product information, and speaker session details.
Organizing Sales Meetings:Working with the sales team to ensure hosted buyer meeting portals are filled out on schedule, to ensure ROI.
Marketing OperationsThe Marketing Specialist must have experience working on online campaigns to promote business opportunities, using channels like social media, SEO, email, and content marketing to attract customers and drive traffic to the website. They must have experience improving a brand's digital presence, combining creative content with technical skills. Hands on experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console and HubSpot Marketing Hub are required. Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM and HubSpot "Settings > Integrations" panel are necessary. Graphic experience with Adobe Photoshop / Adobe Illustrator / Adobe InDesign is a plus.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop engaging content for website, blogs, social media, and ads. Excellent business writing skills required. AI will be used for ideation and rough drafts, but not final content.
Improve website visibility on search engines like Google and Bing. Write Meta using tools like Claude or ChatGPT. Craft clear and concise content specifically for AI engines. Structure content so generative AI engines can convert it into new content for AI snippets.
Create & schedule social media posts to engage audiences on LinkedIn.
Assist in continuous review of website and blogs to keep content evergreen and up-to-date. Use WordPress to accomplish simple text changes. Partner with our web developer to direct necessary weekly tasks.
Assist in managing the Parlance HubSpot account. Assist in the planning, set up, execution, and monitoring of digital marketing and lead generation campaigns, both in-house and vendor-managed.
Use tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console to track site traffic, understand user behavior, and brainstorm ways to improve.
Identify competitor strategies and the unique needs of several customer personas.
Maintain and optimize the bidirectional data sync between HubSpot and Salesforce.
Administrative SupportThe Marketing Specialist must have experience juggling many tasks in a busy department and using digital tools/checklists to avoid missing deadlines. Organizational skills and proactive communication must be a strength.
Key ResponsibilitiesShare in the tasks and responsibilities of the marketing department. This includes the creation of brand-supportive PowerPoint presentations, owning the events calendar and keeping co-workers aware of important dates and deadlines, providing technical help to team members who need assistance creating posts or articles on LinkedIn, ordering swag, mailing packages, etc.
