Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

Overview We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems across various commercial and residential properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with HVAC/R systems, and the ability to interpret schematics and HVAC design plans. A valid driver’s license is required, along with experience in construction, plumbing, refrigeration, and property maintenance. Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R systems to ensure optimal operation and energy efficiency. Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues. Conduct equipment repairs using appropriate tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment. Service refrigeration systems such as ammonia refrigeration units, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems and property maintenance projects. Diagnose mechanical issues using mechanical knowledge and field service techniques. Maintain detailed records of service activities and repairs performed. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards. Requirements Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a solid understanding of HVAC/R systems. Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, and equipment repair techniques. Experience with plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler systems, and appliance repair is preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to property maintenance, air conditioning systems, and equipment troubleshooting. Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately. Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; welding experience is a plus. Strong field service background with the ability to work independently in various environments. Valid driver’s license; driver preferred for travel between job sites. Construction or property maintenance experience is advantageous. Mechanic experience or background in boiler operation is desirable.
