Our mission is to continually improve and set new standards for excellence in construction, today and for the future.Position OverviewAvsar Construction Development, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Design Associate to support the planning, design, and construction of educational and public facility projects. This role assists project teams with design coordination, document review, contract administration support, research, reporting, and project file management while collaborating with architects, engineers, planners, consultants, and construction professionals.The ideal candidate will have experience working in an architectural, engineering, or planning environment and possess a strong understanding of design documentation, building codes, and project coordination processes.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport planning, design, and construction activities for educational facility and capital improvement projects.Assist with the administration and coordination of architectural and engineering contracts and services.Review and interpret architectural, engineering, and planning drawings and documents.Collect, organize, and analyze project data for reports, studies, and presentations.Conduct project research and assist in preparing technical reports and design-related materials.Maintain project records and technical documentation.Review design and construction documents for compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.Prepare and review internal documentation for completeness and approvals.Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to support design and construction administration activities.Participate in community outreach and stakeholder engagement efforts as required.Support project teams with design coordination, field investigations, and documentation management.Perform other related duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsRequired ExperienceMinimum 5 years of full-time professional experience working in an architecture, engineering, or planning environment.Experience reviewing architectural, engineering, or planning drawings and documentation.Experience coordinating design disciplines, conducting field investigations, and supporting project planning activities.Minimum 3 years of experience with the design, planning, and construction of educational facilities or similar public agency projects.EducationBachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Planning, or a related field from an accredited institution.Benefits401(k) retirement planComprehensive Health Insurance (medical, dental, and vision)Paid Time Off for personal and vacation daysPlease note that we are only able to interview candidates that meet the minimum requirements of the role.
