About The TeamOHDELA (Ohio Distance and Electronic Learning Academy) is a tuition-free, K-12 online school dedicated to transforming education through a state-of-the-art virtual experience. We offer a flexible, standards-aligned curriculum delivered by highly qualified teachers, providing 24/7 access to learning. As a premier online academy, we tailor our instruction to meet the unique needs of every student—from advanced learners to those seeking a safe, bully-free environment.The Licensed School Psychologist conducts comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations; consults with school personnel and parents regarding planning, implementing and evaluating individual and group interventions; and functions as a member of the building-based student support team in providing services to students. This is a virtual position, but some in-person work will be required throughout the year.Please note – while this is an online school position and all instruction occurs virtually, travel and face to face attendance will be required several times per year to support in person state testing and student events.Eligibility: Open to residents of OhioAbout The OpportunityConduct virtual psychoeducational evaluations for students K through 12 according to federal, state, and school guidelinesMaintain accurate records of special education services, IEPs, evaluations, and compliance documentationComplete initial evaluations and re-evaluationsProvide virtual administration of cognitive and achievement assessments following best practice tele-assessment standardsConduct other portions of the evaluation, including interviews and virtual observations, adaptive behavior, social/emotional behavior, and executive functioning assessmentsIntegrate assessment results into a comprehensive evaluation report and submit paperwork as neededPresent evaluation findings at team meetings and collaborate with school teams regarding eligibility determinationMaintain knowledge of principles and evidence-based practicesAttend relevant training offered by county agencies and the department of education to stay current on regulations and best practicesCollaborate on intervention planning, MTSS, and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to address learning and behavioral needsSupport and coach staff through professional development and team meetingsKeep thorough records and help maintain compliance with all required reportsContribute to policies and proceduresAdditional duties as assignedAbout YouExperience in school or special education settings preferredActive Georgia Psychologist LicenseProficiency with computers and online documentation skillsAbility to handle confidential information responsibly and exhibit sound judgment while maintaining that confidentialityHave familiarity with a variety of evaluation toolsDemonstrates a reliable, dependable, and trustworthy work ethicAbility to manage difficult or emotional client situationsAbility to make sound judgments after all available information has been gathered or communicatedDemonstrates a mature attitude and insight into matters affecting department, self and / or company welfareDemonstrated leadership and management abilityExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work well under pressure, effectively prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines consistentlyAbility to learn new technologies and acquire new skills through independent study, professional training, and from more senior team membersAbility to work independently and contribute to a teamUnderstanding and ability to manage confidential informationAbility to pass federal and state criminal background checks.About Us“We believe that every child should be able to be anything they want in life, regardless of their birthplace and circumstances.” – Ron Packard, CEO & FounderACCEL Schools is a network of 80+ high-performing, public charter schools serving PK-12 students. The annual starting salary for this position is between $67,500 - 77,500 annually.
