Transaction Advisory Services Senior ManagerThe Transaction Advisory Services Senior Manager will be responsible for managing financial due diligence engagements for middle market strategic and financial (private equity) acquirers.Job DutiesPlans and oversees the due diligence process and applies knowledge and application of BDO standards to ensure effective and efficient delivery of quality services and productsActs as primary contact for the duration of due diligence processAnalyzes quality of earnings, working capital, financial forecasts, quality of net assets and of acquisition targetPerforms company research and collects information from available sources related to the target client's businessConducts on-site and/or phone interviews with C-level personnel or target client to gather additional information in support of the financial analysisAssists in identifying risks and issues related to the transaction for incorporation into purchase agreementsComposes due diligence reports for presentations to clients evaluating M&A decisionsManages the relationship and information flow between BDO and the targetIdentifies and pursues business development opportunities through industry and networking relationshipsManages the development of proposal documents and conducts presentations in pursuit of acquiring new clientsPartners with management members of BDO offices to identify and promote the services of the Transaction Advisory Services practice to existing and perspective clientsOther duties as requiredSupervisory ResponsibilitiesSchedules and supervises the tasks and project assignments of Senior Associates and ManagersReviews work product prepared by Senior Associates and Managers and provides review commentsPartners with Director, Transaction Advisory Services to provide verbal and written performance feedback to Senior Associates and Managers throughout the fiscal year and as part of the annual performance review processQualifications, Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesEducation:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent requiredMBA preferredExperience:Five (5) or more years of prior TAS experience requiredThree (3) to four (4) years of public accounting experience, required, preferably within an audit rolePrior experience interacting and working directly with C-level personnel preferredLicense/Certifications:CPA requiredSoftware:Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office Suites, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPointOther Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Strong verbal and written communication skills, specifically business writing aptitudeAbility to interact with and adapt communication style to successfully convey messaging and objectives to all levels of managementExhibits executive presenceCapable of initiating and maintaining solid relationships with all levels of client personnel, as well as utilizing network and industry relationships to identify business development opportunitiesCapable of working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment either independently or within a team dynamic while effectively managing unexpected issues and/or questions in a professional mannerAbility to analyze large volumes of data to identify potential issues and propose the most appropriate resolutions to deal structuresAbility to maintain the highly confidential nature of informationExcellent project management skills with ability to produce quality work project with an attention to detailSolid knowledge of technical accounting areas such as US GAAPAbility to travelIndividual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.National Range: $155,000 - $180,000 Maryland Range: $155,000 - $180,000 NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $155,000 - $180,000
