Job Title: Interconnection Engineer Job Type: Full-time direct hire Job Location: Birmingham, AL (Onsite) Salary: DoE Work Authorisation: US Citizen/GC Job Description We are looking to hire an Interconnection Engineer. A part of the Siting and Project Development team and would report to the Interconnection Manager. The Siting and Project Development team is responsible for identifying, securing, and developing sites for large-scale solar and energy storage projects. The role requires an ability to collaborate with teammates and to manage a variety of tasks across multiple projects. The main responsibility is to assist the interconnection manager with transmission screenings and to perform interconnection engineering for both solar and energy storage interconnection applications. The role also offers the opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of renewable energy project development Your day: Assist the Interconnection Manager in preparing interconnection requests for renewable energy projects. Power flow analysis of transmission systems in key energy markets to identify potential project sites. Maintain data and analysis for company records. Power system modeling for energy storage systems as required. Perform system stability analysis as required. Requirements: Knowledge of the Open Access Transmission Tariff Power flow analysis experience Experience in PSS/E, PSCAD, ETAP, TARA or similar software Ability to easily adapt to change Effectively manage workload in a fast-paced work environment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $87,184.00 - $92,745.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience level: 5 years Schedule: 8 hour shift Experience: Open Access Transmission Tariff: 5 years (Required) PSS/E, PSCAD, ETAP, TARA: 5 years (Required) • Power flow analysis of transmission systems: 5 years (Required) Work Location: In person
