Job DescriptionLocation: Acoma Office COJob Req ID: 16333Join our amazing team and contribute as a:Floating MechanicABOUT THE ROLE\nAmrize, a leading supplier of quality construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Floating Mechanic to support operations in the Aggregate Division located in Denver, CO. The qualified incumbent will travel primarily thorough Brighton, Longmont, Greeley, and Littelton,with potential for travel to any surrounding Denver city. This position will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a variety of plant equipment to include Loaders, Excavators, Haul Trucks, Dozers and more!WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH\n\nTests mechanical products and equipment to ensure proper performance, and compliance with manufacturer's specifications\nRepairs and replaces damaged & worn parts\nOperates and inspects heavy equipment in order to diagnose defects\nDiagnoses faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices\nDismantles and reassembles heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools\nCleans, lubricates and performs routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles\nExamines parts for damage and excessive wear, using micrometers or gauges\nSchedules maintenance for industrial machines and equipment, and keeps equipment service records\nReads and interprets manuals, blueprints and technical drawings\nAnalyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems\nStays abreast of new technology and methodology through on-the-job training and technical schools\nAdheres to all safety protocol to include confined space entry, lock-out-tag-out, working at heights, wearing appropriate safety glasses, gloves and other personal protective equipment, as well as all OSHA, MSHA requirement\nAbility to work shifts as required\nDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.\nOther duties as assigned\n\nWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR\n\nEducation: High school diploma or equivalent\nHeavy Equipment Operator/ Mechanic experience: 2-3 years minimum\nHigh attention to detail\nProblem solving skills\nAbility to lift/carry materials of 10-60 lbs.\nAbility to work in confined spaces without limitations\nAbility to lift 50lbs\n\nAdditional Requirement\n\nSuccessful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
