OverviewPelvic Pain Anesthesiologist Telemedicine New YorkLocation: Remote with optional in-person clinic availability.Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time | W2 EmployeePosition OverviewWe are seeking a New York-licensed Anesthesiologist with expertise in pain management to provide care for patients with chronic pelvic pain within a multidisciplinary women’s health model.This is a telemedicine-first role, focused on evaluation, diagnosis, and longitudinal management. Providers may elect to participate in in-person clinic sessions at New York locations.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical CareConduct comprehensive telemedicine consultations for chronic pelvic pain.Diagnose and manage conditions including:Neuropathic pelvic pain (e.g., pudendal neuralgia).Develop evidence-based, multimodal treatment plans.Prescribe medications in accordance with New York State regulations, prioritizing non-opioid and appropriate adjuvant therapies.Provide ongoing virtual follow-up and care optimization.Regulatory & Prescribing Compliance (New York)Maintain DEA registration.Comply with all New York controlled substance prescribing laws, including:Mandatory consultation of PMP/I-STOP prior to prescribing controlled substances.Adherence to state opioid prescribing guidelines.Follow all New York telehealth requirements, including patient consent and documentation standards.Practice in accordance with New York State Department of Health and Office of the Professions regulations.Care CoordinationCollaborate with:OB/GYN providersUrologyPelvic floor physical therapyBehavioral healthCoordinate referrals for in-person evaluation or interventional procedures when clinically indicatedDocumentationComplete timely, accurate documentation in the EMR (eClinicalWorks)Ensure compliance with New York telehealth documentation requirements, including:Visit modality (video)Patient location and consentClinical assessment and planQualificationsRequiredMD or DO, Board Certified AnesthesiologyFellowship training or significant experience in Pain MedicineActive DEA registrationExperience managing chronic pain conditions, preferably pelvic painPreferredExperience in telemedicineFamiliarity with:Endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain syndromesCentral sensitization and complex pain disordersExperience working in a multidisciplinary care modelCore CompetenciesStrong understanding of New York telehealth and prescribing regulationsExcellent clinical judgment in chronic pain managementAbility to deliver empathetic, patient-centered care virtuallyCollaborative, team-oriented approachComfort working within a protocol-driven, scalable care model
