Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Worker (Part-Time with Seasonal Hours)Find out if this opportunity is a good fit by reading all of the information that follows below.Location: Shakopee, MinnesotaJob Type: Part-Time (30 hrs./week, with potential for additional hours during high workloads in the Spring-Fall) Hours are typically 9 to 3 pm, however due to work demands may require later afternoons and weekends.Reports To: Property Services Manager / Maintenance LeadCompensation: Pay based on experienceJob Summary:We are looking to add a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Worker to join our Residential Property Management team in Shakopee, MN. This position requires a proactive individual who is confident working independently, highly communicative, and skilled in both general maintenance and light project management. You will play a key role in ensuring the upkeep, safety, and functionality of the properties we manage while representing our team with professionalism and care.Key Responsibilities:Hands-On Residential Maintenance (50-70%):· Perform painting, light carpentry, general cleaning, basic plumbing, and appliance repairs· Organize and maintain shop tools, supplies, and company vehicles· Conduct regular property condition inspections and address maintenance issues proactively· Respond to service requests and emergencies in a timely, professional manner· Assist in preparing units for new tenants (turnovers)Light Project Management (20-30%):· Coordinate and communicate with property owners, contractors, vendors, renters, and HOAs· Obtain and manage quotes for larger maintenance projects or outsourced work· Procure supplies and materials as needed for jobs· Oversee and occasionally direct other maintenance staff or temporary help on-siteWhat We're Looking For:· Strong practical knowledge of residential property maintenance and repair techniques· Ability to work independently and follow company guidelines and policies· make decisions in the field with confidence· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - must be a team player and an over-communicator· Must also be aware of deadlines and good time management· Reliable, detail-oriented, and organized, with good follow-through· Comfortable balancing physical work with coordination and scheduling responsibilitiesRequirements:· High school diploma or equivalent· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record· Ability to lift 20-40 lbs. consistently throughout the day· Experience in residential property maintenance or a related field preferred· Basic computer operation or smartphone literacy (for communication and job tracking)Work Environment & Schedule:· Standard hours are 30 hours/week, with flexibility for additional hours during our busy season (Spring through Fall)· Work is primarily performed on-site at residential properties throughout the Shakopee and Metro area· Indoor and outdoor work required, in varying weather conditions· Occasional evenings or weekends may be needed depending on emergencies or project deadlines and overall workloadCompany DescriptionWe are a growing Property Management and Real Estate Company offering great customer service to our clients and tenants of the properties we manage. xaygatp Company DescriptionWe are a growing Property Management and Real Estate Company offering great customer service to our clients and tenants of the properties we manage.
