Coordinator of Special Programs III Supervisor

MAIN PURPOSE OF A JOBThis position will oversee the Division of Behavioral Health's (DBH) Recovery Support Services (RSS). The RSS includes State Care Coordination (SCC), Maryland RecoveryNet (MDRN), and Vocational Coordination. This position will oversee day-to-day RSS operations and provides supervision to a team of lower-level Care Coordinators, Vocational Coordinators, and/or Peer Recovery Specialists. This position will also provide direct client service, and can include maintaining a separate caseload for whom the supervisor provides all relevant services and/or assisting other Care Coordination staff, as needed. This position will possess skills to include cultural sensitivity, ethical decision-making, adaptability to changing environments, and organization to manage diverse client needs while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.Experience: Two years of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources.Notes:1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSThe desired candidate should possess:Familiarity with behavioral health disorders, recovery processes, and particularly, the resources available within Cecil County.Experience utilizing office productivity software, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.Experience with performance management.Supervisory experience, including providing program and administrative supervision to direct reports.SELECTION PROCESSApplicants who meet the minimum (and selective) qualifications will be included in further evaluation.
