Director of Operations

As a Director of Operations to our 3PL team you will direct and motivate a high-performing operations team tasked with managing and developing a 700,000+ sq ft multi-client facility. You will identify opportunities to drive cost savings and provide guidance on execution and priority and assist in setting the department’s strategic direction. The Director of Operations understands how the details add up to achieving strategic success and provides line of sight on achieving the team’s long-term priorities. Provide cross-functional leadership to our operations, information technology, human resources, finance teams and immerse yourself in daily operations to optimize productivity, promote growth, encourage innovation ideas, and add to an excellent culture Collaborate with senior & vertical leadership on a departmental strategy focused on the where, when, and how the business will grow its network of clients. Motivate, develop, and grow a high-performing Operations team that raises the bar for operational excellence and delivers a world-class customer experience. Create and prioritize implementation of Visual Daily Management processes and frameworks that drive day-to-day efficiency in a hyper-growth environment, effectively engaging, motivating and directing the team to ensure on-time and accurate delivery of customer orders Foster deep collaboration with internal teams to optimize and mature cross-functional information and data flows that enable new capabilities, drive cost-savings, and superior customer experience. Ensure Lean concepts & continuous improvement to safety, quality, inventory, cost, and delivery while growing and expanding capabilities within the vendor network Drive a customer-focused environment committed to delivering the highest quality product to our customers   The right team member is... Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years managing fulfillment & production operations in manufacturing or distribution. Masters or MBA a preferred but not required Six Sigma / Lean industry or university certification, Project Management certification preferred but not required Demonstrated ability to effectively motivate, develop and manage a growing team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment - our culture is a critical part of our success, and you are directly responsible for driving it Ability to think strategically and communicate at the executive level, coupled with top-notch organizational skills and attention to detail Excitement for working in an environment with a high level of ambiguity and change A comprehensive background in Operations and Customer Management Strong continuous improvement skills Efficient Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) and Teams app. A collaborative, team oriented working style Willing and available to work weekends and/or night shifts when needed, subject to needs of the business.  Willing and available to travel 50% of the time, depending on needs of the business and travel restrictions.
