Our mission is to educate every member so that they have the tools they need to meet the challenges of a changing industry.Who we're looking for:Creative, dynamic instructors with security/law enforcement training experience, who enjoy working in diverse linguistic and cultural settingsTeachers who have a passion to empower security professionals through teaching industry skills and educationResponsibilities:Plan and implement lesson plans that are aligned with security officer training curriculum and incorporate the provided educational materialsTeach course content using a student-centered approachMaintain and submit records of attendanceMaintain ongoing communication with supervisorParticipate in relevant professional development activities, as availableQualifications:High School diploma or its equivalentFlorida Class DI Security Officer Instructor License3-5 years of Florida Security Officer experience or Florida sworn certified police officerBilingual English/Spanish helpfulCPR/AED/First Aid Instructor certifications a plusSelf-defense training also a plusFlexible schedule (willing to work nights and weekends)Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to inte ract with students from a variety of linguistic and cultural backgroundsExperience delivering training remotely on ZoomAbility to use digital platforms to communicate, and record program dataCOVID-19 ConsiderationsRecord of completed COVID-19 vaccine or confirmed medical/religious exemption form organization prior to interviewingCompliance with current COVID-19 protocols of the organization Classes Offered8-Hour Annual In-Service TrainingsCPR/AED/First AidSelf DefenseOther security and life safety related classes LocationsTraining Fund locations in the greater Miami, Florida areaCompensation:$75 per teaching hour for classes requiring instructor certifications$50 per hour for non-teaching activities such as professional developmentPaid preparation timePaid in-house training, coaching, and professional development opportunitiesPaid travel time to off-site / employer locations
