Staff Accountant – Midland, TXCompensation: $65,000–$80,000 (DOE)Schedule: Full-time, on-siteAbout the RoleAn established and growing oilfield services company in Midland is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This is a great opportunity for a motivated professional with a solid foundation in accounting who enjoys a hands-on role in daily operations. You’ll work closely with the Controller and leadership team to ensure accurate financial reporting and support continued growth.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the accounts payable process, including invoice entry, coding, approvals, and paymentsPerform bank and balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basisAssist with month-end close activities, journal entries, and financial reportingHandle new vendor set-ups and maintain accurate vendor and payment recordsSupport audit requests by preparing schedules and documentationPartner with the Controller and broader accounting team to improve processes and streamline workflowsEnsure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standardsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field requiredMinimum 2+ years of accounting experience; oil & gas or related industry preferredStrong knowledge of accounts payable, general ledger, and reconciliation processesProficient in Excel and accounting software; NetSuite experience a plusExcellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-throughDemonstrated stability and career progression — not seeking short-term job changersCollaborative, dependable, and proactive problem solver
