Join our team today and help us build a better future, one facility at a time!About The Role: To assist the Service Technician with every day jobs repairing, installing, and maintaining HVAC units. You will support one customer amongst multiple facilities and locations.Service Helpers Will:Learn to Install, troubleshoot and repair heating, air conditioning and refrigeration units, including chillers, boilers, roof top units, split systems and heat pumps.Learn to Troubleshoot malfunctioning heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems to determine the cause of malfunction.Learn to Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations and explain fully to customer what the issue is and what is needed to correct. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance as needed for the purpose of insuring the ongoing functioning of HVAC systems.Travel to job sites in service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer and dispatch.Must be able to proficiently perform the following tasks: troubleshoot with a digital volt meter, soldering and brazing.Enter call resolutions on tablet before you leave the customer site.Be available to work nights and weekends on a rotating basis to service the emergency needs of our customers.Maintain good working order of company vehicles including refueling and preventative maintenance as necessary, reporting any mechanical issues. Vehicles should be washed on a regular basis. Participate in company and/or vendor provided training opportunities.Follow established safety procedures and housekeeping practices.Assist Service Technician.Maintain required documentation, reporting and data on a timely basis.Promote training and continuing education efforts.Qualifications and Job Requirements:High School Diploma and/or GEDHVAC Certificate from accredited HVAC program or trade schoolEPA Universal CertificationGood analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret plans and manualsMust have excellent written and oral communication skillsMust have the ability to juggle multiple tasksEmployees must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment including electronic and diagnostic tools, recovery equipment and other HVAC equipment
