These events will provide opportunities for personal experiences that educate, change hearts, promote long-term engagement with Lifesong, and result in increased donation revenue for the organization.Position PurposeWorking closely with the Creative and Development Teams, this Events Manager position advances the mission of Lifesong through managing and executing all fundraising and mission events, managing event budgets and financial performance, leading vendor and venue relationships and contracts, managing and supporting talent sourcing, ensuring event excellence and satisfaction, and collaborating on event marketing and communications.Primary Responsibilities and DutiesManage and Execute all Fundraising and Mission EventsCarry out the annual event plan aligned with organizational fundraising and mission goalsDeliver high-quality, consistent event experiences that engage donors and advance mission awarenessDesign elevated and innovative guest experiencesEstablish event best practices and continuous improvement processesEvaluate and apply tools that improve event operationsCollaborate with leadership to create and manage the annual event calendarManage Event Budgets and Financial PerformanceDevelop and manage budgets for all fundraising and mission eventsTrack event expenses and ensure financial accountabilityAnalyze event ROI and make data-driven decisions for future eventsIdentify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining event qualityReport on event financial performance to leadershipLead Vendor & Venue Relationships and ContractsIdentify, evaluate, and negotiate with event vendors and venuesManage vendor and venue contracts, timelines, and deliverablesCultivate strong relationships with key vendor partnersEnsure vendor performance meets SOWs and organizational standardsCoordinate vendor logistics for multiple simultaneous eventsManage and Support Talent SourcingNavigate sourcing and contract negotiation of talentOrganize logistics for talent and speakersManage on-site hosting experience for talent and speakersEnsure Event Excellence and SatisfactionManage event logistics and coordination responsibilitiesAccountable for achieving 90%+ attendee satisfaction scoresOversee all aspects of event planning from conception to post-event analysisEnsure consistent, excellent attendee experiences across all eventsManage event risk and develop contingency plansLead post-event evaluations and implement improvementsCollaborate on Event Marketing and CommunicationsPartner with Communications and Marketing teams on event promotionEnsure consistent messaging and branding across all event materialsReview and approve event communications and materialsCoordinate event registration systems and attendee communicationsMiscellaneous Duties: performs other duties as assignedRequired SkillsPassionate commitment to Lifesong's Core FocusProven leadership and team management abilitiesExceptional organizational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple events simultaneouslyExceptional problem-solving and follow-throughExcellent budget management and financial acumenOutstanding vendor negotiation and relationship management skillsSuperior communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to remain calm and solutions-focused under pressureStrong attention to detail while maintaining big-picture perspectiveProficiency with event management software and toolsFlexibility to work evenings and weekends as events requiredAbility to travel up to 30% of time domestically and internationallyEducation and ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field3-5+ years of event management experience with demonstrated leadershipProven track record of managing successful fundraising or large-scale eventsExperience managing event budgets and demonstrating ROIExperience managing staff or volunteersExperience in a non-profit setting is preferredConductThis position requires an active commitment to the core focus, values, and statement of faith of Lifesong.
