This position will be responsible for following the directions of the Journeyman Electrician to complete electrical maintenance and repair work.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesThe Electrician Apprentice will assist the Electrician with basic tasksComplete Maintenance work orders on electrical equipment. Testing malfunctioning equipment, identifying defects, troubleshooting, repairing equipment and replacing defective parts.Collaborate with other electrical staff to identify and resolve problems.Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional QualificationsRequired:Possessing the ability to understand schematics and technical manualsMust be reliable and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.Basic computer knowledge is required.Must be 18 years of age or older.Preferred:2-4 years of electrical apprenticeship preferredDemonstrate knowledge of electrical codesPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
