Overview: The Ambulatory Services Manager plans and directs the operational activities of the medical practices including staffing, practice growth and improvement, financial performance, workflow optimization, EMR efficiency, and customer service. Develops and leads adherence of organizational policies and procedures for all ambulatory practices. Accountable for operational and financial performance results of medical practices. Responsibilities: Coordinates operational activities on a daily basis, withemphasis on meeting service standards. Plans, organizesand oversees work schedules and assignments of supportstaff to meet operational needs. Facilitates patient flow through the practice and mediates anypatient concerns, with emphasis on patient experience.Ensures the accuracy of patient-related activities such asregistration, managed care referrals, the collection, recordingand distribution of cash and check payments, medicalassisting vital signs and lab tests. Implements processes and procedures to ensure efficientprocessing of work including, but not limited to, time ofservice, scheduling, referral management, pre-registrationand visit ticket entry. Works with the entire practice team(nursing, medical assistants, administrative managers, &other support personnel) to develop office orientationprocedures and protocols. Implements relevant information systems such as managedcare, ensuring accuracy of data input and patientappointments. Provides feedback regarding improvementsand changes to systems. Identifies training needs in both business/office and patientcare activities and assists with training of support staff toensure staff proficiency. Coordinates regular skillsdevelopment sessions for support staff. Supervises and directs support staff including employeehiring, termination, corrective action and performancereviews. Assists in planning, monitoring and/or managing budget infunctional area of department.Leads the development and documentation of guidelinesrelated to service delivery and or professional practice incollaboration with relevant staff. Qualifications: Experience 5 to 7 years Working in an Ambulatory setting - required 3 years Leadership/Supervisory in Ambulatory setting - required Education bachelor's degree Healthcare Administration or Business Administration - requiredand/orAssociate's degree Nursing - required Additional Duties Additional duties as assigned may vary.
