In this vital role you will lead the development and execution of Amgen's U.S. Direct to Patient (DTP) access strategy, shaping pricing, channel design, and launch readiness for innovative cash pay offerings.You will be responsible for defining launch pricing strategy in cash pay and ensuring Day One launch readiness for MariTide in collaboration with Amgen Trade & Channel, Market Access, and Patient Access & Reimbursement as well as external third party solution providers. This role requires a non-traditional, forward-thinking leader who can bring insights from consumer industries, technical pricing expertise, and a deep understanding of commercialization models to accelerate growth and access in the U.S.Serve as subject matter expert in pricing and access models, applying knowledge of consumer-driven trends to shape long-term strategy.Analyze emerging cash pay market dynamics, assessing implications for Amgen's access strategy.Lead and develop the U.S. launch price strategy for cash pay offerings, establishing standards and operational guidance for execution.Define cash pay pricing concepts and requirements, including execution in partnership with technical and operational pricing functions within Amgen.Partner across trade and channel teams to execute technical pricing strategies and ensure seamless implementation.Ensure Day One launch readiness for cash pay programs, including operational and distribution alignment.Define critical success factors for external partners to enable differentiated cash pay pricing models and programs.Develop and articulate a compelling Consumer Value Story to support uptake and adoption.Lead implementation of strategic change initiatives required to operationalize new cash pay and DTP models across impacted functions.Guides and informs resource allocation; coaches and advises teams and senior professionals.Contributes to talent development through talent strategy and succession planning.What we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The bold professional we seek is an oriented leader who thrives in ambiguity and brings fresh thinking to complex access challenges.Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree and 4 years of experience in market access, strategy, consulting, or related commercial leadership roles in healthcare, life sciences, or strategy consultingORMaster's degree and 7 years of experience in market access, strategy, consulting, or related commercial leadership roles in healthcare, life sciences, or strategy consultingORBachelor's degree and 9 years of experience in market access, strategy, consulting, or related commercial leadership roles in healthcare, life sciences, or strategy consultingPreferred Qualifications:Experience in non-traditional pharmaceutical or consumer-driven business models.Background in retail, CPG, aesthetics, consumer healthcare, or consulting with launch experience.Deep curiosity and strong insights orientation with broad industry knowledge.Demonstrated technical pricing expertise, including trade and channel strategy.Proven ability to think expansively and challenge traditional pharma commercialization models.Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence without authority.Demonstrated success in launching and scaling innovative commercial models.What you can expect of usAs we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
