Job DescriptionThe Electronics Engineer III formulates broad knowledge and skills in power electronics across the product portfolio of both standalone DC/DC Electronic Power Conditioners (Isolated/Non-Isolated) and DC electronic components supporting RF products. Leads tasks and projects of moderately complex scope and assists in developing standards and guidelines.ResponsibilitiesDesign AC/DC & DC/DC power supplies and related hardware for RF amplifiers and electronic systemsUnderstand and be able to develop various switch mode voltage convertor topologies including buck, boost, sepic, flyback, half-bridge and full-bridge architecturesDevelop and implement EMI/EMC compliant designs including EMI filters and shieldingLead proposal generation in response to customer RFIs & RFQs which will include technical summaries, cost assessments, and schedule estimatesSupport customer visits in support of new businessPerform research and analysis for the design and development of new projects without the need for oversightLead the development of internal design packages and support development of technical reports for both internal and external customersLead the development of new hardware prototypes to confirm manufacturability and performance levelsTest a wide range of electronic boards and devices with the ability to perform basic troubleshootingProvide mentoring to less experienced engineers QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Related Field of StudyMinimum five (5) years of experience in a specialized functional disciplineOR (9) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors DegreeOR (3) years of experience may be considered w/ a Masters DegreeAbility to obtain and/or maintain a Security ClearanceExperience with testing and test equipment for testing electronic boards and devicesAbout Frontgrade ABOUT US At Frontgrade, we build mission-critical electronics that perform without compromise in the world’s most demanding environments, from deep space to national defense.
