Discover more at SummaryAssembles electronic components, subassemblies, or systems by following work orders and production drawings, ensuring quality, precision, and compliance with safety standards.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRead work orders and follow production drawings or instructionsAssemble and secure parts using hand tools and fixturesPerform intermediate tasks such as potting, sanding, or color codingInspect parts using basic testing methodsHandle and install finished assemblies into enclosuresUphold Positronic's standards of integrity, quality, and operational excellence.Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or the safety coordinator.Collaborate with the EHS department to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices.Work with the Quality department to ensure compliance with AS9100 certification standards.Comply with all company policies and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.RequirementsEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent1 to 3 months of experience or training ORAn equivalent combination of education and experienceMust pass appropriate testing to advance in the ABC programPhysicalFrequent sitting, walking, and standingOccasional bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and reachingConstant lifting of 0-20 lbs; occasional up to 40 lbs; rare up to 50 lbsHigh level of hand and finger dexterityConstant use of hands and arms for technical workPPE includes safety glasses, nitrile and heat-resistant gloves as neededWorking Conditions: Work is performed in production zone with frequent exposure to loud machines and nitrogen-based chemicals.Shift: Second shift (Tuesday-Friday 3:45pm-2:15am)KnowledgeKnowledge of English language rules, spelling, and grammar for reading instructionsUnderstanding of machines and tools used in basic assemblyFamiliarity with production processes and quality standardsSkillsActive listening and communication to follow detailed instructionsAttention to detail for consistent quality during repetitive tasksTime management to stay on pace with production flowProficient in using hand tools and positioning small partsAble to read and comprehend work orders and technical documentsAbilitiesExcellent hand-eye coordination and finger dexterityColor vision and near-sight acuity for sorting accuracyAbility to maintain focus during repetitive inspection tasksStrong problem sensitivity and quick judgmentPOSITRONIC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MODIFY, INTERPRET, OR APPLY THIS JOB DESCRIPTION IN ANY WAY THE COMPANY DESIRES.
