This is a great opportunity for you to join our team, and to support local Veterans!We are looking for skilled, compassionate, and driven Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) to join our expanding Home Oxygen Equipment and Service team in Columbia. This role allows therapists to work directly with Veterans in their homes while maintaining a high level of clinical autonomy. The Registered Respiratory Therapist will deliver and set up oxygen concentrators, portable oxygen systems, and ventilator equipment, conduct respiratory assessments and patient education, document respiratory therapy visits and clinical observations, train patients and caregivers on oxygen and respiratory equipment use, coordinate care with VA Medical Center clinical staff, participate in on-call rotation for emergency respiratory service needs and maintain compliance with regulatory and company policies. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently. Compassion for the elderly and a patient-centric nature are a must. All Therapists must be licensed in the state of South Carolina (CRT/RRT credential preferred).Qualified candidates will have an associate’s degree or equivalent; or two to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Home ventilator experience preferred. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, along with the ability to understand and articulate services that we offer. Valid Driver’s License and the ability to pass a background check/drug screen are required.
