As a Senior engineer, you ll play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test suites for our consumer credit platform. You ll work with modern testing frameworks and collaborate closely with development teams to ensure the highest quality standards across our applications. This is an opportunity to lead automation initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to building a scalable, maintainable test infrastructure while leveraging emerging AI tools to enhance productivity and test coverage.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Develop comprehensive automated test scripts using Cypress and TypeScript, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional, regression, and API testing scenariosImplement & Maintain end-to-end test automation frameworks that are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with industry best practicesConduct API Testing with expertise in REST/GraphQL APIs, including validation of payloads, authentication, authorization, and error handlingWrite & Optimize SQL Queries for database validation testing, data seeding, and backend verification as part of the automation test suiteLeverage AI Tools (Claude, Copilot Studio, or similar) to enhance test script generation, identify edge cases, and improve test efficiencyCollaborate with development teams, product managers, and other QA engineers to understand requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenariosLead & Mentor junior automation engineers, providing guidance on best practices, code reviews, and technical solutionsIdentify & Report defects with detailed logs, evidence, and reproducible steps; track and verify resolutionsEnsure CI/CD Integration by maintaining automated tests within continuous integration pipelines and troubleshooting integration issuesPerformance & Security Testing Contribute to performance and security testing efforts where applicableDocumentation Maintain clear documentation of test cases, frameworks, and procedures for team knowledge sharingRequired QualificationsMust-Have Skills:7+ years of professional experience in QA automation testingCypress Automation Framework Advanced proficiency with hands-on experience building and maintaining test suitesTypeScript (First Preference) or JavaScript Strong programming skills for writing scalable, maintainable test codeAPI Testing Proven expertise in REST API testing, including tools like Postman, Thunder Client, or similar; strong understanding of request-response validation, headers, authentication, and status codesSQL Working knowledge of SQL for writing queries to validate data, seed test data, and perform backend verificationVersion Control Git/GitHub or similar version control systemsTesting Methodologies Strong understanding of functional, regression, and end-to-end testing principlesProblem-Solving Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detailPreferred QualificationsPlaywright Experience with Playwright or other modern test automation frameworksAI Tools Integration Hands-on experience with AI-powered coding assistants such as Claude AI, Copilot Studio, or GitHub Copilot to enhance testing workflowsAdvanced JavaScript/TypeScript Proficiency in asynchronous programming, promises, and functional programming conceptsOWASP & Security Testing Familiarity with security testing and common vulnerabilitiesCI/CD Tools Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar continuous integration platformsAgile/Scrum Environment Proven experience working in agile development methodologiesPerformance Testing Basic knowledge of load testing tools like JMeter or LighthouseCommunication & Leadership Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and guide team membersTechnical Skills Summary
