Job Title: Junior AccountantLocation: West Palm Beach, FL (On-site)Department: Accounting / FinanceReports To: Accounting Manager / ControllerPosition SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our client's accounting team in West Palm Beach. This role is ideal for an early-career accounting professional looking to grow their skills in a collaborative environment. The Junior Accountant will support daily accounting operations, assist with financial reporting, and ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with daily accounting functions, including journal entries and general ledger maintenancePerform account reconciliations, including bank and credit card reconciliationsSupport accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as neededAssist with month-end and year-end close proceduresPrepare and maintain financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentationReview financial data for accuracy and resolve discrepanciesMaintain organized and accurate accounting recordsAssist with audits by preparing documentation and responding to requestsSupport budgeting and forecasting activities as directedEnsure compliance with company policies and accounting standards (GAAP)Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiencyQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required0-2 years of accounting experience (internship experience acceptable)Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reportingProficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc.)Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar) preferredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasksStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred SkillsInternship or entry-level experience in accounting or financeFamiliarity with reconciliations and financial close processesEagerness to learn and grow within an accounting career pathExperience working in a fast-paced or multi-entity environmentAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
