Software Engineer

We are looking for a product-focused software engineer to join our Core Platform team. You will design, build, and maintain distributed systems that serve millions of users. You will work closely with product managers, data scientists, and designers to ship features quickly and safely.About the RoleArchitect and implement high-performance backend services and APIs using Python, Go, or TypeScript (Node.js).ResponsibilitiesWrite clean, well-tested, and maintainable code; participate in thorough code reviews.Design and optimize database schemas (SQL and NoSQL) and data pipelines.Operate and troubleshoot production systems (on-call rotation, 8am-8pm, one week per month).Collaborate on system architecture decisions and roadmap planning.Contribute to improving engineering standards, tooling, and processes.Qualifications3+ years of professional software engineering experience (post-graduation, internships not counted).Required SkillsStrong proficiency in Python or Go (or TypeScript/Java at some companies).Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems fundamentals.Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) – compute, storage, networking.Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work cross-functionally.Preferred SkillsExperience with LLM/GenAI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) or building AI-powered features.Experience with real-time streaming (Kafka, Kinesis) or event-driven architectures.Contributions to open-source projects or a strong technical blog.
