Details Work setting is a freestanding Emergency Department with 6 staffed beds Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7p–7a) Required to work every other weekend No on-call responsibilities May be floated to sister MUSC Health facilities (Columbia NE or DT) within scope Patient ratios are team-based Charting is performed in Epic (experience required) Free parking available on site Requirements Active SC RN license or compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must have the license in hand before start Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience required Trauma Level I or II experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience required Epic EMR experience required Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Driver's license and SSN required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are not accepted for this position Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) may be considered on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; approval is based on facility needs Completion of facility modules is required prior to start date Royal blue scrubs required Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September American Traveler Job ID P-687620.
