With top-tier equipment, steady workflow, and new fabrication space underway, we're building a team of independent, experienced machinists who can program, set up, and run jobs with precision and pride. - The Work You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: Set up, program, and operate a range of CNC machines Machine large, precision parts to tight tolerances Work from job travelers and blueprints to program in GibbsCAM or at the machine Handle a mix of job shop work with varying part sizes and complexity Maintain a safe, organized work environment with minimal oversight Collaborate with a lean, high-performing team of machinists - Machines, Controls & Software You'll work with equipment such as: Machines: Horizontal Boring Mills (HBMs), Vertical Mills (3–4 axis), CNC Lathes (Y-axis, 5-axis), VTLs Controls: Fanuc and Haas CAM Software: GibbsCAM Inspection Tools: Standard shop tools for precision inspection - What We're Looking For Required 3+ years of CNC machining experience Ability to program in GibbsCAM or at the machine Comfortable with setups, tooling, offsets, and blueprint reading Strong experience with mills, lathes, or boring mills Willingness to work 2nd shift and contribute to a lean team Preferred (Not Required): Experience with multi-axis lathes and VTLs Exposure to large-part machining or job shop environments Familiarity with machining for steel and pipe mill parts - Materials You'll Work With Steel Large castings and pipe mill components - Why Machinists Like Working Here Machinists choose Wilson Machine & Welding because: High pay with lots of overtime (Alabama has no tax on OT !)
