🚀 Founding Marketer | Consumer AI Startup📍 New York City | 6 days onsite💰 $175k–$250k base + meaningful equity📈 Early-stage, high-growth startup👤 Working directly with the Founder/CEOI’m working with a fast-growing, AI-native consumer startup looking to hire its Founding Marketer and own how the company builds its brand and reaches consumers.This isn't a pure performance marketing role.They already have strong engineering and analytical capability around growth and acquisition. What they're missing is someone who can bring the brand, storytelling, and creative marketing layer, while still thinking commercially and using data to make decisions.You'll own a broad remit across:Brand, positioning and storytellingCreative campaignsDirect-to-consumer acquisitionProduct marketingLifecycle and customer experiencePaid, organic and socialExperimentation and new channelsThey want someone who has built and shipped, not just managed agencies or large teams.The ideal background is someone from B2C/consumer technology, ideally in a Seed–Series B environment, who has helped build a brand or marketing function at an early stage.You'll probably be equally comfortable thinking about the big idea as you are getting into the weeds and actually launching it.Experience within fintech or another regulated consumer market would be useful, but isn't essential.You should also be genuinely AI-native, using the tools available to move faster across research, content, creative, experimentation and execution.This will suit someone who is: Hands-on. Creative. Commercial. Scrappy. Low ego.Someone who enjoys ambiguity, moves quickly, and wants the ownership that comes with being the first dedicated marketer in an early-stage business.⚠️ One important consideration: this is an intense startup environment, and the team works 6 days a week from their NYC office.
