This leadership role provides oversight of the Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit, as well as Echo and Infusion departments. The Director will be responsible for staffing, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and operational management while maintaining a strong clinical presence to support patient care and staff development.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership, direction, and oversight for the LDRP, Echo, and Infusion departments.Maintain high-quality patient care by upholding clinical standards and supporting nursing staff.Manage budgets, staffing, and scheduling to ensure efficiency and resource optimization.Ensure compliance with state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations.Collaborate with hospital administration on organization-wide initiatives.Oversee staff training, professional development, and retention strategies.Monitor time management, charge capture, and operational reporting for Echo and Infusion.Foster a safe, patient-centered, and efficient work environment.QualificationsEducation:Associate degree in Nursing with a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field, or BSN required.Experience:Minimum 5 years of RN experience.At least 2 years in a supervisory/management role (Manager or Director level).Recent hands-on clinical experience in labor and delivery.Licenses/Certifications:Active RN license in California (or ability to obtain).Current CPR certification.Ideal Candidate TraitsStrong leadership and delegation skills.Ability to manage multiple departments effectively.Skilled in budgeting, finance, and operational oversight.Adaptable and willing to step in to support clinical staff when needed.Commitment to patient safety, staff engagement, and organizational excellence.Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $135,200 – $216,320 (based on experience).Comprehensive benefits package.Relocation assistance may be available.Apply TodayWheeler Staffing Partners invites qualified nursing leaders to apply for the Director of Nursing – Labor and Delivery role.
