Truck Driver / Mover

Job Description Job Title: Truck Driver / MoverJob Summary:The Truck Driver/Mover is responsible for safely transporting household goods, office equipment, or commercial freight to designated locations while assisting with the loading, securing, unloading, and setup of items. This role combines skilled driving with physical labor and customer service to ensure moves are completed efficiently and professionally.Key Responsibilities:Operate company vehicles (medium to heavy trucks) in compliance with all traffic and safety regulations.Load, secure, and unload furniture, appliances, and other items carefully to prevent damage.Inspect vehicle before and after trips; report maintenance needs or issues promptly.Plan routes, follow schedules, and maintain accurate delivery and mileage logs.Provide quality customer service—communicate clearly with clients and handle their belongings respectfully.Work collaboratively with a moving team to pack, wrap, and protect items for transport.Set up or assemble furniture or equipment as required at destination sites.Maintain cleanliness and organization of trucks, equipment, and warehouse/storage areas.Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.Qualifications:Valid commercial or standard driver's license (depending on vehicle class).Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical (if applicable).Prior experience in moving, delivery, or logistics preferred.Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects safely.Good communication and teamwork skills.Reliability, attention to detail, and a customer-oriented attitude.
