NDT Technician

NDT Level III SpecialistLocation: Gulfport, MSIndustry: Aerospace & Defense ManufacturingWe are currently partnering with a leading aerospace and defense manufacturing organization to identify an experienced NDT Level III Specialist. This position supports advanced manufacturing programs involving composite and metallic structures used in highly regulated environments.This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on NDT professional who can operate independently, provide technical leadership, and contribute to quality and continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform non-destructive testing on composite, metallic, and non-metallic materials using automated and manual methodsUtilize techniques including Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Visual Testing (VT)Set up, calibrate, and standardize NDT equipment; interpret and evaluate results for acceptance or rejectionDevelop and maintain inspection procedures in accordance with ASNT and customer requirementsConduct system performance checks per applicable process standardsProvide technical guidance and oversight to Level I and Level II personnelEnsure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and contractual requirementsMaintain inspection documentation as objective quality evidenceSupport continuous improvement initiatives within NDT processesServe as a liaison on NDT-related matters with internal teams and external stakeholdersPerform dimensional inspections and support multiple concurrent projectsQualifications & ExperienceCertification in accordance with SNT-TC-1A Level III requirements in:Ultrasonic Testing (UT), including Phased ArrayVisual Testing (VT)Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)C-Scan experience preferredStrong understanding of NDT methods, limitations, and applicationsExperience interpreting codes, standards, and specificationsPrior inspection experience within manufacturing or aerospace environments preferredDegree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experienceRequired SkillsWorking knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)Strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervisionAdditional RequirementsMust be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security ClearanceMust be a U.S. Citizen due to export control requirementsWillingness to work overtime or off-shift as neededPhysical & Work EnvironmentAbility to stand, bend, kneel, and work in an industrial environmentAbility to lift up to 50–70 lbs occasionallyComfortable working in enclosed spaces and using required PPEMust meet vision requirements including near vision and color differentiation
