Vice President- Credit Administration and Control

QUALIFICATIONS:1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, banking and finance, risk management or related discipline.2. Minimum of 10–15 years of solid experience in credit administration and/or loan agency functions within awholesale or corporate banking environment.3. Proven leadership capability with a strong track record in managing sizable teams, preferably supportingwholesale credit lending portfolios.4. Highly meticulous with strong risk awareness, capable of working independently, adaptable to fast-changingenvironments, and equipped with strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.5. Demonstrated strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, particularly in credit control,documentation, and portfolio monitoring.6. Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and to perform effectively under demanding conditions andtight deadlines.Summary:VICE PRESIDENT, CREDIT ADMINISTRATION AND CONTROLCredit Administration and Control (“CAC”) provide back-office credit and security documentation checking for corporate & financialinstitutional customers, credit risk monitoring support to credit and business units of the Bank, and loan agency function. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will assist in overseeing the smooth operation of CAC, credit riskmonitoring, monthly reporting, key risk and control self-assessments, update and maintain the Standard OperatingProcedure ensuring compliance with the Bank’s policies and regulatory provisions, manage the safe custody oforiginal credit and security documentation.You will be expected to be involved in the team’s talent development, champion the operations service model andprojects initiatives to constantly seek out process improvements to achieve operational excellence, other operationalrisk matters and leave cover for other Operations related.RESPONSIBILITIES:A) Bilateral Loans Lead, coach and manage the CAC team for handling bilateral loans. Responsible for issuance of facility letters and reviewing non-standard facility agreements andsecurity documentation for complex deals drafted by external lawyers. Ensuring all the terms enumerated inthe credit and security documentation are compliance with approved credit terms, related Group policies,guidelines and procedures, and regulatory requirements. Ensure executed documentation is perfected and in good order, aligned with approved credit termsprior to implementation of credit facilities. Active risk management. Highlight and resolve any discrepancies identified, ensure proper approval isobtained from the authorized approver prior to the implementation of credit facilities. Demonstrates strong product knowledge across real estate, construction, project financing, and trade. Manages the safe keeping of the legal and security documentation in the vault and update in thecollateral management system.B) Syndication Loans Lead, coach and manage the CAC team in performing Loan Agency function. Perform all administrative tasks to support both the borrower and lenders. Ensure documentation is perfected and in good order, aligned with approved credit terms. Acting as an agent is a varied and highly visible role requiring accuracy and sound understanding ofcomplex deal mechanics. Strong communication skills are required in managing the borrower, lenders and internalstakeholders. Active risk management to minimize commercial impact to the bank, borrower and lenders.C) Credit Risk Monitoring, Reporting and Operational Risk Perform credit risk monitoring and escalation of exceptions for covenants, security documentationwith expiry date, property revaluation, insurance renewal, annual credit review and related early alertindicators required by Credit. Prepare monthly limit and exposure report, various internal and regulatory reporting related to loans. Assist the Operations Manager in handling all the operational risk matters of UOB New York Agency. Conduct independent key risk and control self-assessments. Leave cover for the Operations Manager.
