Based in North Chicago, IL, Navy Talent Acquisition Group Great Lakes plays a vital role in maintaining the readiness and strength of the Navy's workforce.Role DescriptionAs a Navy Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) student, your primary role is that of a full-time student and a commissioned officer in the Individual Ready Reserve (IRR). While your main "job" is to excel in your medical or professional studies, you also have specific military administrative and training duties. You must maintain status as a full-time student and meet all academic requirements of your accredited school. You are expected to maintain a minimum cumulative GPA, typically around 3.0, throughout the program.QualificationsU.S. CitizenBe able to complete your degree and be commissioned before your 42nd birthday. Age waivers are sometimes available on a case-by-case basis.Must meet the Navy’s physical and medical standards for a commission, which includes passing a medical examination. You must also meet specific height/weight standards.Must be able to pass a background check and be eligible for a Secret security clearanceMinimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. You must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA throughout the program to remain eligible.Minimum MCAT score of 500Must have applied to, have letter of acceptance or be currently enrolled in an accredited graduate program in the U.S. or Puerto Rico.
