They help with implementing established behavior plans, home-school communication, and have the ability to assume teacher responsibilities as needed.Assist in instruction and fulfillment of IEP mandatesImplement established behavior plan(s)Ability to assume teacher responsibilitiesAssist teacher to implement and monitor individual lesson plans, data collection and charting systemsAssist in conducting classroom activities that enhance opportunity to develop skills in areas of needAssist with routine classroom functionsAssist with home-school communicationAssist with all required paperwork to be completedAbility to travel to satellite locations upon requestAdheres to The Summit Center Core Agency Values of Adaptability, Accountability, Collaboration, Integrity, Optimism, and RespectAdheres to the Summit Center employment policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook including, but not limited to dress code, attendance and punctuality, and Paid Time OffMaintain strict confidentialityEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or equivalentOne year of experience working in a classroom/educational settingOne year of experience working with childrenCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: New York State Teaching Assistant Certificate or New York State Teaching Certificate (if you do not currently posses the certificate, you must obtain it within six months of hire)At The Summit Center, you'll be part of a compassionate, highly trained team committed to empowering individuals to reach their full potential.
