Career Path: Direct Pathway to Project Manager (18-Month Apprenticeship Track) Position Overview We are seeking an ambitious, highly organized, and detail-oriented Project Operations Coordinator to join our team in Jonesboro, AR. This position is designed as an operational command track where you will partner directly with Senior Project Managers to manage timelines, coordinate procurement and vendor logistics, and act as a key operational liaison for our clients. This role is structured as an 18-month career progression program. Through hands-on experience and direct mentorship, you will master the full lifecycle of project delivery, positioning you to transition into an independent Project Manager role. Structured 18-Month Pathway to Project Manager We invest directly in our team’s growth. Your progression through this program will be guided by clear milestones: Months 1 – 6 (Operational Foundations):Support Senior PMs on active project logistics, learn internal workflow systems, coordinate purchase orders, manage production schedules, and handle primary client status updates. Months 7 – 12 (Co-Management):Take ownership of smaller sub-projects or specific project phases independently. Participate in budget reviews, timeline adjustments, and proactive risk mitigation. Months 13 – 18 (Shadowing & Transition):Primary-manage mid-tier projects while shadowing Senior PMs on complex, high-value accounts. Complete final evaluations for promotion to full Project Manager. Key Responsibilities Project Tracking & Delivery: Maintain accurate project schedules, track critical path milestones, and identify potential delays before they impact delivery targets. Client & Vendor Liaison: Serve as the primary operational point of contact for client inquiries, status reports, and schedule updates while coordinating closely with production and vendor teams. Resource & Order Logistics: Review project specifications, issue purchase orders, confirm material availability, and monitor custom manufacturing or procurement workflows. Risk Management: Proactively identify bottlenecks, material shortages, or schedule conflicts and collaborate with Project Managers to implement solutions. Documentation & Operations: Maintain organized project files, manage submittals and sign-offs, and suggest optimizations for team workflows. Qualifications & Key Attributes Education & Experience: Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Communications, or a related field; OR 2+ years of equivalent hands-on experience in project coordination, logistics, customer operations, or administrative management. High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree (e.g., Business Administration, Logistics) is a plus. Demonstrated aptitude in organization, client communication, and proactive problem-solving is valued above specific degree titles. Problem-Solving Mindset: Critical thinker who loves solving complex logistical puzzles and anticipating needs before they arise. Communication: Clear, confident, and professional written and verbal communication skills across both internal teams and external client stakeholders. Organization: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, Monday.com), ERP/inventory systems, or spreadsheet software (Excel/Google Sheets).
