Deployment ManagerThe Deployment Manager will be responsible for leading and managing deployment projects within ASIT team. This role ensures that projects are properly staffed, field technicians are supported and trained, and deployment activities align with overall business goals.Scope of WorkEnsures NA deployment projects are staffed with appropriate field technicians to execute the scope of work.Works with service partners directly to help manage the day-to-day activities of the technicians.Helps identify and work to train incoming resource to Ciena methods and standards also can guide technicians to online training and Ciena bootcamps to advance skill levels.Coordinate between internal and external teams to ensure the techs are properly trained and equipped.Can prepare detailed reports on field activity and report to senior leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinates franchise PMs and deployment service partners to ensure all deployment projects are staffed appropriately every weekInterfaces with project management to determine weekly project start requirementsInterfaces with deployment partners to confirm resource availabilityInterviews field technicians for tiger team supportEngages tiger teams to provide project supportCan interview technicians and determine qualificationsThe Deployment Manager will be responsible for leading and managing deployment projects within ASIT team.This role ensures that projects are properly staffed, field technicians are supported and trained, and deployment activities align with overall business goals.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in related field from a college or university with six to eight years related experienceEquivalent combination of education and experienceStrong management background able to manage many technicians.Telecommunication background is a plus.Ideal Candidate ProfileCustomer Focused - Acts to add value to customer relationships through concrete actions and decisionsCritical Thinking / Analysis- Analyzes Multi-dimensional problems; gathers information over extended periods of time and applies complex concepts to generate possible solutionsJudgment - Makes Complex decisions/Judgment considering multiple alternativesDecisiveness - Delivers decisions in the face of completing alternativesDeveloping Others - Creates Development Opportunities to foster the teams learningOrganizational Awareness - Understands formal and informal structure and the climate / culture of the organizationUnderstands JIT (Just in Time) concepts as they pertain to EF&I Field ProjectsOutstanding planning, scheduling, and coordination skillsIs self-motivated and can work from high level departmental goalsA team player that will work well in a cross functional team environmentMust have proficiency with various software applications including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Project, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, PowerBI and complex databases.
