Our growing company is currently seeking an experienced Senior Back-End Developer to join our IT Department. In this role, the Senior Back End Developer will be responsible for developing and designing back-end architecture, ensuring the responsiveness of applications. Must be fluent in creating websites to deploy that thrive on strong architecture, while supplementing with data-driven applications that optimize site functionality throughout the lifecycle of each project. The Senior Back End Developer will need to know how to effectively create website foundations using back-end applications and database structures. The ideal candidate will bring a modern development mindset, leveraging cutting-edge AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery, enhance code quality, and drive innovation across our technology stack.

Environment:
Microsoft-based infrastructure using primarily Windows desktop OS and Windows Server with Office 365; primarily .Net web and desktop development utilizing Microsoft SQL database back-end and limited use of Azure blob storage; integrations with Microsoft’s Dynamics Navision, D365 systems, UPS WorldShip, ShipWise, and Endicia; Palo Alto security network has been implemented.
Duties:
Concepting, creating, and building websites alongside our design team, including taking designer wireframes and turning them into effective code.
Working through the website development lifecycle to launch.
Integrate data from other services and API’s.
Developing functional databases, applications, and servers to support our websites on the back end.
Coding for various platforms to ensure functionality for across multiple channels.
Leading and developing best practices for the development team.
Developing and designing RESTful services and APIs.
Determining application responsiveness for users.
Ensuring the company mandate is effectively addressed in technical and developmental aspects.
Troubleshooting issues and problem-solving as necessary.
Keeping current with industry trends and developments that can be applied to the company’s needs.
Mentoring junior developers and contributing to team technical growth.
Education, Experience, Qualifications, and Skills:
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in web development and programming in the following technologies: C# (C Sharp) 9+, .NET (4.7.2, Core 5-8), .NET Web API 2.0, ASP .NET MVC5+, Entity Framework, MS SQL 2017 and higher, Azure DevOps (CI/CD).
Proficiency in leveraging AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to enhance code generation, debugging, testing, and deployment workflows in both development and DevOps practices.
MS Azure is a plus.
Experience with Digital Signing Services is a plus.
Experience with third-party controls (Telerik, Debenu/Foxit) is a plus.
Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture/Microservices is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to quickly learn and appropriately utilize internal applications and knowledge bases as needed for the timely completion of daily tasks.
Ability to read, process, and follow written directions and procedures.
Ability to maintain routine and predictability in a dynamic and open-office environment.
Ability to work in concert with a team or independently, with or without direct supervision/guidance as needed.
Ability to self-manage and multi-task while making fact-based or historically valid and justifiable decisions.
Ability to consistently comply with established procedures, rules, and regulations.
Valid (non-suspended or limited) Driver's License and dependable transportation for timely work attendance and/or occasional supply or materials errands as needed or required.
Physically able to bend/kneel/walk/stand, in tandem with cart, stepstools, or rolling ladders, to access supplies and various works in progress or other materials as needed in storage rooms or production areas.
Good vision, with or without corrective lenses, in order to sustain adequate visual focus over a period of time.
