Job Description MISSION STATEMENT: To transform lives through love and service.SUMMARY: The Human Resources Director plans, directs and coordinates the organization's human resources activities, strategic planning, managing talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, and employee relations while ensuring legal compliance. The Human Resources Director acts as a strategic partner to senior leadership to drive company culture, productivity, and organizational development. The Human Resources Director ensures the policies and procedures are in line with best practices and supports the mission and values of St. Vincent de Paul CARES.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (These essential job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed. Nothing in this job description restricts management's rights to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at this time)Align HR initiatives with organizational goals to improve performance, talent management and organizational growthAdministration and oversight of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development while fostering a positive workplace cultureIdentifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.Implement performance appraisal systems and develop training programs to encourage skill development in our workforceSupervise HR manager and Staff Development Specialist by providing guidance to support growth and skill development through weekly supervisionDevelop and assess employee engagement experiences to ensure they align with the strategic direction of the organizationProvide guidance and training to the management team on HR related topics and train on compliance issues to ensure the highest standards for the organizationDemonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workloadFamiliarity with Human Resources Information Systems and using technology to achieve strategic goals and to work more efficientlyConsult with legal counsel or the Chief of Administrative Services as necessary and as directed on personnel mattersFormulate and execute organizational training plans and programsActively participate in the PQI System to include Risk Management Committee, and HR PlansPerforms other duties as requiredOTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:Comply with all applicable training requirementsComply with all company safety, personnel and operational policies and proceduresComply with work schedule to ensure effective operations of Agency programsContribute positively as a member of a productive and cooperative teamPerform other duties as necessary to fulfill the St. Vincent de Paul CARES MissionEMPLOYEE BENEFITS OFFERED:Health InsuranceLife insuranceDental InsuranceVision insuranceLegal and ID ShieldShort- and Long-Term Disability120 hours of PTO accrued biweekly starting at day 1 of employment13 Paid Holidays to include Employee's birthday and Date of Hire403(b) with employer match up to 3%REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. On an as needed basis, employees may be called upon to work outside of the established work schedule or work odd hours.
