Botanic will be a magical place that will only accept the best.Our servers are responsible for serving guests in a professional and welcoming manner, while closely monitoring satisfaction and tending to specific needs of each individual guest. This position will report to the Vice President of Food and Beverage.Responsibilities:Prepare room for dining by preparing tables and setting all condiments, napkins, service plates and utensilsProtect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policiesHelp patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questionsStay updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices by position number, identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requestsKeep kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progressionServe orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from service barsRespond to additional patron requirements and observing dining processMaintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needsProperly open and pour wine at the tablesideConclude dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant, inviting patrons to returnRequired to make notes in the guests Resy profile once the guests have concluded their visitObtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; delivering bill and payment to host; returning change or credit card and signature slip to patronsContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededPerform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisorAssist with special events as neededAdhere to grooming and appearance standards consistentlyPromptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessaryQualifications:Previous serving experience preferredExcellent oral communication skills requiredPositive interpersonal skills requiredMust speak English fluently and be able to write in basic EnglishAbility to listenServer Top Skills & Proficiencies:Knowledge of Food Service RegulationsLiftingVerbal and Written CommunicationFlexibilityBasic MathCustomer ServiceResolve ConflictTeamworkPersistenceEnergy LevelSelling to Customer's NeedsThoroughnessProfessionalismClient Relationships
