About the RoleThe Senior Accounting Manager role is a hands-on accounting leader responsible for executing the day-to-day accounting while also serving as the primary financial point of contact for ownership. We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting operations and work alongside our small accounting team.This position will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and build scalable processes while supporting strategic decision-making across the enterprise. Duties include communicating financial activity and results to cross-functional groups and executive leadership. The role will collaborate with our third-party partner, Fintrepid Solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead monthly close process, strict adherence to closing deadlinesOversee real estate portfolio accounting across property typesManage and actively perform full-cycle accounting for multiple entities, including general ledger, AP/AR, inventory, and consolidationsPrepare and organize financial statements, trial balances, and supporting schedules for multiple entitiesEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal policiesManage intercompany transactions and joint venture accounting across a multi-entity family office structure, ensuring accuracy, alignment, and appropriate treatment across entitiesManage and oversee cash flow and liquidity across multiple entities, including intercompany transfers, funding needs, and daily cash positioningServe as the primary liaison with external CPAs, managing communication and coordination for tax filings and auditsManage and mentor accounting team (4 staff directly or indirectly involved with accounting operations)Implement internal controls and process improvementsProvide financial insights to leadership and support strategic decisionsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CPA preferred)7-10 years of progressive accounting experience; 3+ years supervisor experienceExperience in real estate and multi-entity environments requiredProperty management accounting preferred) Family office or closely held business experience preferredKnowledge of GAAP, ERP systems, and financial reportingAbility to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentBenefits: (Eligible 1st day of the month following 90 days of employment)Paid Vacation Time offPaid Sick timeEmployee Health PlanAFLAC insuranceSimple IRADentalVisonWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
