Apply here today!Oklahomans Feeding Oklahomans.Cake DecoratorPrimary ResponsibilitiesGreet, assist, and ring out all customers politelyTo accurately record customers’ order/ requests for cakes and other bakery itemsTo process customer purchases quickly and accurately by the operation of an electronic cash register, scanner and scaleTo review the perishable department Communication Board daily for updated materials and follow the guidelines posted for the Sampling Program and intercom announcements. To greet all customers, respond to customer questions/requests and explain store policies in a courteous mannerTo ice and decorate cakes and pastries to customers and company specificationsTo record "out-of-stock" conditions and the time they occur and report to the department managerTo fill/stock: donut case, cookie case, cake case, other display cases, and counter and display tables throughout the storeSUPERVISION RECEIVED: Cake Decorator reports directly to the Bakery ManagerQualificationsBasic Mathematics (Add, subtract, multiply, divide) High School Diploma or EquivalentPrior supervisory experiencePrior experience with oven, convection oven, mixer, fryer, bread slicer, stove, wrapper, scales, and cleaning materialsSpecific tasks Lift, twist, move and carry a maximum of 50 lbs., from the floor to shelving, or overhead racks in the store and cooler/freezerMaintain active signage and pricing in all departmental areasCare for signs, banners, and debris from daily operationsAccurately and efficiently handle cash, debit/credit, EBT/WIC, coupons, and vouchersRespond to customers, coworkers, and vendor questions and responses promptly and politelyProper usage of store phone and intercom systemsTo supervise/perform the checking of case and cooler temperatures 4 times daily utilizing the time keeping system to record each check.Work Environment NoteInside work with transitions of heat/cold/humidity/dust from backdoor/compressors/cooler/freezer/preparation area.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work performed by the employees assigned to this job.
