Accounting Analyst III – Infrastructure Accounting (Data Center)
Seeking a highly motivated Accounting Analyst III to support infrastructure and data center construction accounting within a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in cross-functional collaboration, process improvement, and managing complex balance sheet activities tied to large-scale infrastructure investments.The successful candidate will support accounting operations, month-end close activities, SOX compliance, and financial reporting while contributing to process optimization initiatives across the infrastructure accounting function.Key ResponsibilitiesManage accounting activities for data center construction projects, including full record-to-report lifecycle and month-end close processesOwn and reconcile multiple balance sheet accounts and associated sub-ledgers of varying complexityEnsure adherence to SOX controls and support audit requirementsPartner with Infrastructure and Finance stakeholders to understand business objectives and provide accounting guidanceIdentify process gaps and independently design and implement process improvementsSupport Capex/Opex accounting, accruals, mass asset additions, and asset retirement obligations (ARO)Maintain financial trackers, reporting schedules, and supporting documentationPerform ad hoc financial and technical analysis to support leadership and cross-functional initiativesParticipate in FP&A discussions and cross-functional business reviewsUtilize large datasets to drive insights and improve accounting processes using financial systems and toolsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of experience in financial accounting, financial statement auditing, or equivalent experienceStrong experience with month-end close processes and balance sheet accountingExperience analyzing large datasets and working with cross-functional stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to improve or redesign accounting processesStrong collaboration and communication skills across global teamsPrior experience in Big 4 public accountingCPA certification preferredExperience with Oracle Financials and HyperionExposure to infrastructure, construction, energy, utilities, manufacturing, or technology sectorsExperience with internal controls and SOX compliance frameworksSQL or advanced data analysis skillsIdeal BackgroundCandidates with experience in large-scale accounting environments, particularly within infrastructure-heavy or asset-intensive industries, will be well-positioned for success in this role.
