Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description We are looking for Heavy Equipment Operators to join our growing team!Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOperate heavy construction equipment including:Motor gradersDozersExcavatorsLoadersRollers/compactorsSkid steersAsphalt paving equipmentWater trucks and haul trucksPerform grading, leveling, excavation, and material placement according to project plans and specifications.Assist with asphalt paving operations including base, leveling, and surface courses.Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.Monitor machine performance and report maintenance or mechanical issues immediately.Maintain proper production pace while ensuring safe operation.Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and TxDOT standards.Work closely with supervisors, survey crews, truck drivers, and laborers to complete daily operations efficiently.Assist crews with ground work when equipment is idle.Maintain clean and organized equipment and work areas.Work outdoors in varying weather and field conditions. QualificationsMinimum 3 years of heavy equipment operating experience in roadway or civil construction preferred.Experience on TxDOT or public infrastructure projects is a plus.Ability to read grade stakes, understand basic site layout, and follow directions.Knowledge of safe equipment operation and jobsite safety practices.Reliable transportation and ability to report to job sites on time.Ability to work overtime, weekends, and nights when required.Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude. Preferred ExperienceAsphalt paving operationsFine grading and finish workGPS machine control systems (Leica, Topcon, Trimble, etc.)Stabilization, dirt work, drainage, or bridge approachesCDL Class A or B license is a plus Physical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to work in extreme heat, cold, dust, and noisy environments.Must be capable of safely entering and exiting heavy equipment multiple times daily.
