As the analytical engine and owner of various origination and execution related tasks, you will play an important part in every project and transaction team.You’ll hone your quantitative skills, commercial aptitude, leadership, and be part of a close-knit team with collaborative peers and mentors. Our Associates have great exposure to live transactions, direct interactions with executive-level clients, and career development opportunities.Equiteq’s goal is to empower and enable our Associates to become seasoned M&A professionals and sector experts.Key Responsibilities:Design, manage, and build complex quantitative analyses in support of project teams’ sell-side / buy-side M&A and other advisory mandates (valuation analysis, forecast models, merger and buyout-models)Lead the ideation and drafting processes of pitchbooks, Confidential Information Memoranda and other transaction and marketing documentationQuarterback critical administrative aspects of transaction processesRepresent the team as point of contact for internal and external counterparties in driving initiatives and project workstreamsBe a mentor and an important technical / cultural resource to AnalystsContribute to Equiteq’s thought-leadership by conducting research and analyses on our coverage universe and relevant M&A market trendsContribute to day-to-day operations, business development efforts, and overall culture of our firmWhat we are looking forExperience:3+ years of experience at a reputable investment banking practice with a focus on the M&A productDemonstrated quantitative / analytical skills – accounting principles, financial modelling, valuation, etc.Understanding of the M&A process and key commercial considerations throughout all phases of the transaction lifecycleExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Excel and Powerpoint, experience with investment banking data services (e.g. CapitalIQ, Pitchbook) is a plusThoughtful, thorough and detail-orientedTrack record of managing workstream processes, providing guidance and communicating objectives clearly in working collaboratively with AnalystsRelevant sector knowledge preferred but not requiredEducation/Qualifications:Undergraduate or equivalent degreeFINRA SIE, Series 79 and Series 63 licenses will be requiredOur valuesAt Equiteq, our values are central to what we do and how we show up for our colleagues and clients:Achievement: We are driven by attaining measurable success for our clients, our colleagues, our firm and ourselves.Empathy: We are excellent at understanding entrepreneurs. The offered salary may vary based upon various factors including individual experience and skills.Equiteq employees are also eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus scheme, based on personal and team performance, and receive a range of benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401k match and a minimum of 20 days PTO.
